28th International Poster Biennale Warsaw

It was an honor to be selected in one of the most prestigious graphic design biennale’s in the world; the International Poster Biennale in Warsaw, Poland.
This year they celebrate their historical 28th edition and it is a pleasure to have my work beside iconic graphic designers such as Lex Drewinski, Uwe Loesch, Niklaus Troxler and many more.

Previous selected artists and designers in this historic graphic design biennale have been Andy Warhol, Paula Scher and Stefan Sagmeister and many more.

My selected poster refers to The Púca (from the Irish for “ghost”) is a shapeshifting trickster spirit of Celtic folklore that usually takes the form of a domestic animal, or a human. The typography is utilized as a metaphor for that shifting and transformational motion from the outside to the inside. I loved creating this poster especially the aspect of researching and expanding my knowledge of Irish folklore and history of my homeland.

Thanks to Ryan Slone and Lech Majewski (President of the Biennale) for sending me some photos.
