Last week was the official opening of the Retroavangarda Gallery in Warsaw, Poland.
During the ceremony 20 posters were exhibited from many famous designers from all around the world such as Stephan Bundi, Mono Grinbaum, HOMEWORK, Slobodan Štetić, Mieczysław Wasilewski, and my fellow Ecuadorian Mario Fuentes.
I was honoured that my poster ‘White Tiger Melts’ (created 10 years ago) was part of this special exhibition.
A huge thanks to Anna Kłosfor the kind invitation and the best of luck with the future of the gallery.
During the month of December 2017 I received the great news that my student Pablo Machado (UTE Diseño Gráfico) was selected for the 2017 edition of the international social poster project Poster For Tomorrow
Myself and the university are very proud of you Pablo.
The project gathered 105 designers from 30 different countries. The remarkable result of their collaborations were 69 posters, dedicated to the cultural heritage of their countries. The aim of WGD was once again successful: People with a different origin, language, culture or gender, were inspired and created without physical contact, taking advantage of the opportunity that is given to them by modern technology.
During the last week of November was the opening of the exhibition Ecuador. Diseño Mega diverso which was part of the BICeBé 2017.
It was an honour to have my poster Dead Leaf selected to be part of this exhibition with such iconic designers such as James Verdesoto, Vanessa Zuñiga, Pablo Iturralde, Belén Mena and many more talented Ecuadorians. Also a special mention to my student Pablo Machado Encalada for being selected.
